Currently the ZipEat app allows you to see the tracking information of your delivery once the Driver has arrived at the pickup location and retrieved your items.
As ZipEat handles thousands of orders each day, we implemented this tracking system to increase efficiency for our customers, merchants, and Postmates, as well as ensuring that you have an accurate representation of when your order is on its way to you.

With contact-free delivery, you can safely request your order be left at your door, in your lobby, or another safe place at your delivery location. Your driver will call or text once they drop off your food. This option is automatically turned on when you begin a delivery order, but we suggest double-checking that your saved phone number, address, and any delivery instructions are up to date so that your driver can leave the food in the right spot. You can do all of this at checkout. By offering this option, we are prioritizing the health and safety of customers like you, our drivers, and our restaurant partners. Based on information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we’ve shared recommendations with drivers and restaurants focused on continuing good hygiene, taking care of themselves if they are unwell, and using precautions when interacting with others.
