Irene Wan
Irene Wan (born on January 31, 1967) is a Hong Kong film actress. The sweet-faced actress was at one time one of the top teenage actresses in Hong Kong. At the age of fifteen she made her debut in a film called Lonely Fifteen (1982). She gained notice for her beauty and remarkable performance in Everlasting Love (1983), co-starring with Andy Lau and Loletta Lee, when she was only 17 years old. Later, she also gave impressive performances in Stanley Kwan's Love unto Waste (1986) and Rouge (1987).
However, in the 1990s, her film career sputtered and she agreed to star in All of a Sudden (1996), a low-budget erotic thriller, which would be her first, and only, time appearing nude in a movie and then publishing some revealing pictorials. However, this move failed to ignite her career and she later went on to star in various TVB dramas. She always played the seductive woman, trying to flirt men like Gentle Reflections. She was good at portraying the sexy and pretty innocent girl that men like to prey on but at the end the girl always wins the men back.
Many years ago, I watched Vengeance, a series about revenge, in which she played Hoi Chiu (the heroine). It became her representative role, and even her nickname afterwards. The theme song by her was also very popular at that time. The popular TV series in the 1990s, apart from bringing her fame, also serves as a milestone in her acting and singing career.
I think she is hot and really pretty, especially her eyes that seem to be shocking electricity when she looks at you, but someone said that she has the sexy vixen look and she got a nose job because her nose is rather stiff in movies and really pointy for some reasons. She definitely does not look like her age and she looks a lot younger.
She is retired already. Sometimes she will appear in the charity show or promote some beauty products.
